Who? 

We are a registered, Canadian, volunteer run, not-for-profit-organization based in Toronto, with international reach. We are animal lovers and collaborators who believe in showing our love through action. Learn more about our team here. ​

What?

A "Care Zone" is a location where we fund animal rescue and treatments. Care Zones will be created in under-serviced, underdeveloped locations, through community collaboration and local partnerships, to provide the following:

First Aid Care & Veterinary Services
Local animal rescuers, animal lovers, those leading grassroots animal care efforts or small local NGO's, will be further trained and funded to provide effective street level first aid care to injured animals in their rural location. Animal Care Zone supports the transportation of urgent cases to the closest veterinarian.

Animal Birth Control & Vaccinations
A spay/neuter camp will be organized for stray dogs and cats in our site locations. It is the most humane way to control and stabilize the stray animal population. Most puppies who are born are certain to die. Research states that approximately 80% do not live to the age of 1. Vaccinations for animal health will also be administered such as rabies and the "9-in-1" vaccine

Capacity and Compassion Building

Animal compassion and animal protection awareness will be spread throughout the site location.  Underprivileged locals who participate will also receive financial incentives for their efforts.  

Emergency Response: In the occurrence of natural disasters in countries where Animal Care Zone has a presence, the organization will temporarily fund local relief efforts focused on animal rescue, in the area of impact.

Why?

Stray animals living in rural or underdeveloped locations be it India, Northern Canada or anywhere else in the world do not have it easy. They often do not receive the medical care that they need at the right time. This leaves them suffering and in agony. Due to the fact that these areas are geographically far from city centers, the help available in main cities do not reach these animals. They are ignored, alone and in pain, often until their last breath. Animal Care Zone aims to bring light to this situation faced by rural animals and help by increasing their access to timely and appropriate care.
