Wiley!
For those of you who don’t already know him, Wiley is a 2 year old Shepherd Husky living a treat and adventure filled life Seattle with his dad Eric! But Wiley’s story was not always so bright.
In June of 2024 Wiley was processed through a shelter from the streets in Los Angeles. Sadly during this time his sweet, loving, goofball personality was overshadowed by kennel cough and ear infections, and due to space and budget constraints Wiley was placed on the 72 hour euthanasia list.
It was at this time that Animal Care Zone came to the rescue! ACZ saved Wiley and placed him in fosters over the next few months while they tried to find a forever home, and giving him much needed love to let his goofball personality blossom!
A few months later Wiley’s Petfinder profile made its way to Eric in Seattle, and he knew right away Wiley was the dog for him! Wiley and Eric met for the first time on October 6th, and it was love at first lick! Now secure and loved in his forever home, Eric quickly saw Wiley’s goofy personality emerge even more, from his slammy wammies and his delusion that he was a 65 lbs lap dog, to his obsession with watermelon.
These days, Wiley is living it up with Eric and his girlfriend, and whether it’s a quiet day at home playing with his kitty step sister, or a new adventure surfing at the coast, every day is full of love and happiness.
While Wiley’s story has a very happy ending, sadly every day other dogs just like Wiley have their story end before it gets to truly begin. Your donation helps Animal Care Zone continue their work helping other good boys and girls like Wiley find their Eric and continue their story.
