My Birthday Wish...
I’m grateful for another year around the sun!
To celebrate, I’m organizing a birthday fundraiser for a cause very close to my heart: helping animals.
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. My cats and dogs are my constant companions. Over the years, my family, roommates, neighbors and I have rescued, fostered, foster-failed, and found homes for many furry friends. My brother Ad has played a key role in this from early on in life. Thank you, Ad, for opening our hearts and homes and showing us what love looks like.
Most recently, I’ve also been inspired by a dear friend, Meg, who founded Animal Care Zone (ACZ), a volunteer-run charitable organization registered in the USA and Canada. In California, ACZ rescues dogs from high-kill shelters and places them in foster homes and loving adoptive families. In India, ACZ helps street animals by providing medical treatments, vaccinations, spay/neuter services, and food. To further support this cause, I’ve joined the Board of Directors at ACZ. Through volunteering, I’ve learned quite a few things that I’ve applied at home with our own pets. I urge you to explore this fulfilling experience in your local areas.
